Many users often encounter this problem when adding alumina grinding balls. The balls I just bought are good, but some of them are broken after little use. Is it because the balls produced by this manufacturer are not good? So, when using a new ball mill to add wear-resistant ceramic grinding balls produced by Chemshun Ceramics, how can we reduce the wear rate of wear-resistant grinding balls?
1. Before the ball mill is running, it is strictly forbidden to run idly without adding materials.
If the ball mill is running without adding materials before starting, it is easy to form a strong impact force between the ball and the plate, which will cause micro-cracks in the ball and pits on the surface of the ball. In severe cases, some balls will be broken.
2. When loading the ball mill with an empty warehouse, a certain amount of material should be added before adding the ball
When loading the ball mill, avoid free fall. Generally, the height of the ball mill is more than 1.5 meters. If the ball is directly loaded without adding materials, the wear-resistant grinding balls will fall into the warehouse, which will form a huge impact force, causing cracks of varying degrees inside the ball, affecting its service life. Therefore, in order to prevent the grinding balls from falling and being damaged, some materials should be added first.
