Unloading chute equipment is used in many industries. Materials fall from the chute for transportation. The impact force of the materials on the chute is large, resulting in serious wear of the chute. In the past, manganese steel linings were generally used for wear protection, but the effect was not great, and the wear was still serious. It would need to be replaced soon, resulting in increased costs and affecting the efficiency of the factory. A more wear-resistant material is needed. This requires higher wear resistance.
Alumina ceramics are a wear-resistant material with aluminum oxide as the main body and fired at more than one thousand degrees. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high hardness, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance. Its wear resistance is equivalent to 266 times that of manganese steel. It can resist the impact of materials very well. Replacing manganese steel linings with wear-resistant ceramics can extend the service life of the equipment by more than 10 times.
Welding the alumina ceramic lining inside the chute to form a solid wear-resistant layer. Welding can make the ceramics not easy to fall off and better resist the impact of materials. The welded orifice plate is fixed by iron bowl and ceramic glue, and can work for a long time in an environment below 700℃. It is suitable for anti-wear protection of equipment such as hoppers, silos, chutes in steel plants, chutes in coking plants, coal bunkers in cement plants and thermal power plants.
